Welcome to AI Lund's annual fika-to-fika event about AI in the public sector! This year's theme is welfare. During the day, we will take part in and discuss how AI affects welfare based on current research, policy and practical experiences.
How is welfare affected by AI? This year's coffee-to-coffee focuses on welfare as a central part of the public sector. AI raises many questions, ranging from the use of language models in public activities to the authorities' work to develop and implement AI. What opportunities and challenges does the development mean for the organisation, accessibility and future of welfare?

The issues are broad and affect several different parts of the public sector. As usual, we have invited researchers and practitioners to share their knowledge, insights and ongoing projects. Through presentations and panel discussions, we get to take part in different perspectives on AI's role in welfare.
