Dear LTH alumni,

– Publicerad den 23 februari 2015

I am not only the new Dean of the Faculty of Engineering LTH, I am also an LTH alumnus. I started my LTH journey as an ‘E:82’, but spent my first year serving the UN in Cyprus, so I ended up studying with the ‘E:83s’. After I graduated, I went on to study towards a PhD in microelectronics at the Department of Applied Electronics, which has now been incorporated into the Department of Electrical and Information Technology. One thing led to another, and while it’s difficult to explain exactly how I ended up as the Dean of LTH, I am immensely proud to lead this faculty. You can read about my vision for LTH in an interview I did along with LTH’s new Chairman, Charlotta Falvin, for LTH News.

Together, Charlotta and I will try to steer LTH in the right direction over the next few years.

When it comes to alumni, I think that LTH, and Sweden as a whole, could be much better at taking advantage of this resource. What an amazing network we could have access to if we made the effort! We do a bit here and a bit there, but it’s nothing compared to the efforts of many American universities. My to-do list is long, but I am determined to get around to doing something about that as well.
