CBSC 2025 – Circular Building Sector Conference, 1–3 June
The first Circular Construction Industry Conference will be held in Lund on June 1–3. Academics and practitioners from the field of built environment, and who have an interest in circular economy are welcome. You can still register, but please do so by May 21.

LTH’s profile area Circular Building Sector invites you to CBSC 2025 – Circular Building Sector Conference. It will be held June 1–3, 2025 in Lund. The conference aims to contribute to new knowledge on circular solutions and approaches, bridging the gap between industry and academia. We welcome submissions within topics related to circularity in the building sector, including:
- Circular materials and components e.g. reused or recycled materials and components, biobased materials
- Circular design and buildings e.g. design-for-disassembly, design-for-circularity
- Circular use and business models e.g. shared use, multifunctional use, temporary use, product-service systems, as-a-service business models
- Circularity in higher education e.g. circularity in existing curricula, development of new programs, alignment with industry needs
Are you an academic, practitioner or educator from the wide field of the built environment with an interest in circular economy? Welcome to join the conference!
Keynote Speakers
- Professor Markku Rummukainen, Professor in Climatology at Lund University, Associated Professor in Meteorology at University of Helsinki in Finland and Climate Advisor at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute.
- Professor Karin Broberg, a geneticist and toxicologist at Karolinska Institutet and Lund University, Sweden, known for her work on human adaptation to challenging environments.
