Doctoral thesis in biomedical engineering: AI analyses of magnetic resonance imaging examinations

The process is time consuming, however. The analyses can be sped up by using artificial intelligence, which can help us to discover certain patterns faster than a human. Julius Åkesson has worked with the implementation and improvement of such algorithms in several different types of cardiac imaging.

Julius Åkesson will defend his thesis “On Deep Learning in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging” on October 17, 2025.
