The profile area AI and Digitalisation brings together researchers at Lund University who are active in research programs, competence centers, and networks in information technology, computer science, AI, and mathematics.

ELLIIT, the Excellence Centre Linköping–Lund in Information Technology, has been a national strategic research area funded by the Swedish government since 2010. The participating universities are Linköping University, Lund University, Blekinge Institute of Technology, and Halmstad University. A new round of doctoral calls with projects running from 2026 to 2030 includes the announcement of 51 doctoral positions during 2026. Here we gather the open calls at LTH (the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University).

NextG2Com stands for Next Generation Communication and Computational Infrastructures and Applications, and is a competence center in advanced digitalization funded by the Swedish innovation agency Vinnova. Doctoral students in NextG2Com are members of the competence center and have access to its network of university, SME and industry partners.
