Affiliated competence is a new form of mobile, individual continuing professional development intended to strengthen collaboration between higher education institutions and the business community. The concept has been developed, tested and evaluated in a pilot study during the 2020/21 academic year. LTH, Faculty of Engineering has now decided to continue this work in a three-year in-depth pilot study.
Company employees with core competences are to be offered continuing professional development at LTH with the intention of strengthening collaboration between the university and the company. The goal is to develop collaboration between individual companies and the university in order to reinforce and deepen long-term relationships prior to possible joint project applications. Skills development will also be offered through participation in the university’s research and education activities.
