Quality assurance procedures at the Faculty of Engineering LTH

Quality assurance and quality enhancement activities at LTH are based on the principles expressed in the Lund university policy framework for quality assurance. They consist of processes for design and approval of new study programmes, evaluation of ongoing courses and study programmes, follow-up of these activities and their results.

In the organisational structure of LTH, programmes boards and departments are in charge of most quality enhancement activities, which take place in close connection to the implementation of courses and programmes.

On the following pages you will find information about quality assurance and enhancement activities concerning first-, second- and third-cycle studies.

Internal quality assurance

The quality assurance processes at LTH can be divided into three areas:

Completed activities

Most of the faculty's results are documented and presented in Swedish. For more information, please contact the LTH Quality Support unit.

External quality assurance

The Swedish higher education authority evaluates the quality of higher education and research. It is important to students, employers and society that all higher education and research in Sweden is of high quality. The Swedish higher education authority reviews higher education through thematic evaluations, programme evaluations, reviews of the higher education institution’s quality assurance processes and through appraisal of applications for degree-awarding powers.

Most results of external evaluation are documented and presented in Swedish. For more information, please contact the LTH Quality Support unit.
