Welcome to this interdisciplinary research conference on the theme "Breaking barriers to climate solutions". The conference aims to encourage knowledge sharing and dialogue between Lund University and the University of Cambridge.

The Swedish Research Council has decided on the applications to be awarded network grant for planning future excellence clusters for groundbreaking technologies. Of the 40 networks approved, four are at The Faculty of Engineering, Lund University.

The award is given for his excellent contribution to aerosol research and as an active promotor for aerosol science as both a previous NOSA board member, but also within ACTRIS.

Electrified transport is an important key to society's green transition – but can it also strengthen our electricity system and make it more robust in times of crisis? A new project, funded by the Swedish Energy Agency and led by IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute in collaboration with RISE and LTH, is investigating just that.

The seminar attracted 25 participants from the Energy Transition profile area and focused on how the competence centre was created and how it is organised.

A discussion on semiconductors was on the agenda in Almedalen. The dialogue, hosted by LTH at Lund University, addressed how Sweden can contribute to the efforts being made in Europe. One of the conclusions of the discussion was "the crisper the proposal – the more policy influence".
