Title: Dynamic Offloading of Control Algorithms to the Edge using 5G and WebAssembly

Abstract:  The thesis presents a dynamic offloading framework utilizing WebAssembly, with 5G for communication with the edge node. The framework is demonstrated through the Furuta pendulum, which uses an LQR controller as a fallback controller for stability assurance. Additionally, the work investigates offloading to alternative computers and using different communication protocols, accompanied by the development of a simple control quality measure.
