Quality assurance of preconditions for course and programme implementation

Quality assurance and enhancement work for the preconditions for course and programme implementation and student learning takes place mainly through planning processes and continuous improvement activities. The Faculty of Engineering (LTH) departments, the Centre for Engineering Education (CEE) and the Faculty Office are mainly responsible for these processes, and the work is followed up in the operational dialogues at the faculty.

The responsibility for the implementation of courses and programmes is mainly carried by the departments of LTH. This is where the subject-matter competence for courses is found and where teaching staff are active in different teaching and learning processes. All LTH teaching staff have access to academic teaching courses through the CEE.

One of the main tasks of the CEE is to offer support for development of the teaching and learning environment in close cooperation with the teachers. “Genombrottet”, the academic teaching support unit, offers academic teaching courses and evaluation support They also conduct their own academic teaching research. The academic teaching unit manages a rewarding process for excellent teaching, the LTH “Pedagogical Academy”. In order to be admitted to the academy teachers are invited to have their teaching qualifications evaluated by an expert team.
