LUCAS-breakfast seminar 2014-06-18
Speaker: Prof. Tomas Akenine Möller
Tomas Akenine Möller presented an overview of recent advances in stochastic rasterization, initally aimed at rendering correct motion blur and depth of field. One goal is to reveal bits of information about higher-dimensional rasterization that are not often easily extracted from papers. He used an interactive presentation, and talked about possible hardware modifications as well as what can be done on contemporary graphics processors. Future interactive applications, such as games, might take a major leap in terms of image quality using these types of techniques.
