Annika Olsson appointed as new Dean at the Faculty of Engineering, LTH

Lund University’s Vice-Chancellor has today decided that Annika Olsson will be the new Dean at the Faculty of Engineering, LTH as of 1 January 2021. Heiner Linke will be the new Deputy Dean.

Appointment of Dean and Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Engineering, LTH, for the period 2021–2023

Background

In accordance with Lund University’s Rules of Procedure, the Vice-Chancellor decides on the appointment of the Dean and Deputy Dean. This decision is based on the nomination committee's proposals and the results of the election.

Elections at the Faculty of Engineering, LTH have been conducted and proposals for the new Dean and Deputy Dean, based on the election results, have been submitted to the Vice-Chancellor.

Decision

The University decides to appoint, for the Faculty of Engineering, LTH for the period 1 January 2020 – 31 December 2023:

Professor Annika Olsson as Dean

Professor Heiner Linke as Deputy Dean

New Dean and Deputy Dean

Annika Olsson is professor at the division of Packaging Logistics and dean of Campus Helsingborg.

Heiner Linke is professor at the division of Solid State Physics.

From 1 January 2020 they will succeed Viktor Öwall and Annika Mårtensson as Dean and Deputy Dean at the Faculty of Engineering, LTH.
