SHINE
The Book
My wish with this project was to show that shine is a, none negligible part within the design field. I have found that shine, often referred to as glitter, glimmer, sparkles, reflection, and so on, does have an effect on us humans. For some people the effect is admiration, for some more associated with kitsch and subcultures, and others connect different emotions with the experience of shine. Shine is a writing, combined with own photos about the theme. My wish with Shine, was to explore a field of personal interest, and collect it in a way that made sense to me. It is a book to later come back to when I need inspiration. The essence of the book is to show that the use of this effect may not change the life for a person dramatically, but it can bring that extra needed, to make you feel that you are part of something magic and fantastic.
The temporary shelter
Since the most optimal shine, the world has to offer, is mostly to be found in the nature, the second part of the work, is a concept for a temporary shelter, to bring people to the shine. The temporary shelter is a consequence of the book Shine, where I among other things describe the shine of
the nature. A tent is an alien object in the nature, it will always seem as something not belonging to the natures scenario. Instead of trying to camouflage a tent, or try to solve every inconvenience a camper
may have, why not let them be what they are; mobile sheds to stay in, while enjoying the nature. I chose to do a shine world to bring, to enhance the fact you are in a precious place for a while.
