Welcome to the Division of Industrial Electrical Engineering and Automation (IEA)

The Division of Industrial Electrical Engineering and Automation (IEA) offers a number of courses in industrial electrical engineering and automation both in Lund for several Engineering programmes and at Campus Helsingborg for the programme in Electrical Engineering and Automation.

IEA focuses on applications in Energy and Environment with courses and research in renewable energy generation (wind/water/solar/wave power), transportation (drive and charging systems for electric vehicles), power systems, water treatment and industrial automation in a wide range of applications. Several of these areas require knowledge of power electronics and electrical drive systems, in which the IEA also offers courses.

IEA is part of the work of the Energy Transition profile area where we work closely with our colleagues in the Department of Energy Sciences and the Division of Combustion Physics, who also offer complementary courses in the energy and environment area.
