Ulf Ewaldsson, Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, Head of Group Function Technology at Ericsson and member of Lund University board
Abstract: The new emerging service provider network is fundamentally impacted by the merger of the telecom, IT and media industries. Cloud business models and IT technologies are driving the evolution, with new demands on flexibility and scalability, as well as for improved user experience. Services and devices are subject to dramatic change. Virtualization of network functions, a push for more dynamic IP network connections and the need for orchestration across the network are some results of this.
