Every year, two international students on the Master’s Programme in Industrial Design are awarded the Ingvar Kamprad scholarship to cover their accommodation and living costs during the study period. From the autumn of 2011, the scholarship will also cover the tuition fee for non EU/EEA students who are awarded the scholarship. Non EU/EEA students will also be given priority for the scholarship.
The Ingvar Kamprad Scholarship was founded in 2001. At that time it was only for students coming from certain countries. Now students from all countries, with the exception of the Nordic Countries, have the possibility to apply.
Each autumn the scholarship is given to two of the admitted applicants. The selection is done by the Board of the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University. The scholarship is 80 000 SEK per year (approximately 8 000 Euro) and covers the student’s living costs and accommodation for ten months, August to May, during the two years of study. If a non EU/EEA student is awarded the scholarship, the new additional part of the scholarship covering the tuition fee will be paid directly to Lund University.
