Conference Venue

The 29th NOFOMA Conference on 8 - 9 June 2017 will be hosted by Faculty of Engineering at the Lund University, Sweden.

The Conference will take place at Palaestra et Odeum which is located on University Square and owned by Lund University. The buliding was designed by Helgo Zettervall and built in 1883. Previously, the botanical gardens were situated on this site and behind the facade lie the remains of the Orangery that once stood here dating from the mid-18th Century. Originally, the building housed a gymnasium and Choir halls, however, these were destroyed after a fire in 1980 and replaced by an auditorium.

Palaestra is located next to the main building of the University, in the center of Lund. Several hotels and the central Railway Station are located withing 3-5 minutes´walking distance.

Please note that June is a busy month of the year in Lund which means that the hotel capacities are limited. The NOFOMA Organising Team has been able to reserve rooms for the participants but we do recommend that make your hotel reservation as early as possible. On the Hotels side we recommend some hotels which can offer reduced prises if you refer to NOFOMA2017.

NORDLOG Doctoral Day, the Educator´s Day  and the Get-together Party (BBQ, starts at 18:30) will be held on 7 June 2017 and take place at Ingvar Kamprad Design Center (IKDC).
