Lund University delivers cutting-edge knowledge in 3D-printing to Siemens

LTH, through its Lund University Commissioned Education, has been commissioned by Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB to train over 700 Siemens engineers globally. The program consists of three stepd, it starts wide at a basic level, to become more specialized in the second step and ends with an advanced training for specialists. The courses are specially developed for Siemens and extend between one and several days (7-80 hours). The agreement started in September 2017 and extends over one year with the possibility of extension.

Update on new data protection regulation policies
From 25 May 2018, a new data protection regulation is to be enacted. Lund University is carrying out a project with the purpose to review structures and procedures to ensure that the management of personal data within the university meets the requirements of the new legislation.
2018 Lund University Administrative Prize
2018 Lund University administrative prize is awarded to:
- Tobias Nilsson, Policy officer at Administration Office (Science), awarded SEK 15,000 for competence development
- Jessica Carlsson, Programme Administrator at Human Rights Studies, awarded SEK 15,000 for competence development
PostDoc Training – PostDoc Career Success
Junior researchers in all disciplines, especially recently appointed postdocs, are welcome to participate in the online PostDoc Career Success programme in English that provides practical knowledge and effective tools that can be directly applied to your everyday work. The programme is free of charge.
Online course for PhD students: Career Control for Researchers
Lund University offer PhD students in all disciplines the opportunity to participate in a training course on how to create an individual career plan that also provides concrete tools for putting your plan into action. The training course is not a part of your PhD studies as such, but an opportunity for you to plan your future career. Your career plan can also be discussed at the yearly staff appraisal.
The course is in English and is free of charge.

The new European Space Agency (ESA) Young Graduate Trainee (YGT) opportunities are published. The ESA YGT programme is open to young people of who just graduated or are about to graduate, and gives successful applicants an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the development and operation of space programmes.
