LTH Water, together with VA-teknik Södra, will host Professor Günter Blöschl, winner of the 2025 Stockholm Water Prize, for a two-day visit in Lund.

On 18–19 March, 2026, LTH Water, in collaboration with VA-teknik Södra, will host Professor Günter Blöschl, recipient of the 2025 Stockholm Water Prize, in Lund.
SAVE THE DATE and meet Professor Blöschl who is internationally recognized as one of, if not the world’s leading expert on flood hydrology and water resources management. His pioneering work on flood risks, climate change, and socio-hydrology has transformed scientific understanding and influenced real-world decision-making. Most recently, his forecasting tools were instrumental during the catastrophic floods in Central Europe in 2024, supporting timely evacuations and protective measures.

We have prepared an engaging two-day programme, featuring:
•    A keynote seminar with Professor Blöschl.
•    Contributions from leading water profiles and researchers.
•    A VIP dinner reception at La Belle Epoque (strictly by invitation).
•    Opportunities for discussion, reflection, networking across research and practice etc.
