Supplemental Instruction (SI)

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a cooperative learning model designated to bridge differences in learning techniques between studying at upper secondary school and at university level.
SI provides study groups, improves student performance, prepares and motivates for further studies, develops critical thinking and problem-solving, and prevents students from dropping out of their programme. Among other things, we have noticed that the SI study groups help students to better manage the initial "traditionally difficult" courses in the LTH programmes.
SI started at LTH in 1994, and CEE is now responsible for running the activity within the faculty.
