Congratulations to Rajeshwari Yogi, a student in the Master’s in Wireless Communications at Lund University, who was awarded the title Global Swede at a ceremony at the Swedish Institute last week.

Rajeshwari Yogi, from India, is one of 22 international students in Sweden to be awarded the prestigious title of Global Swede 2017 at a ceremony held on 10 May 2017.

Currently in its seventh year, Global Swede is a joint initiative between the Swedish Institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is intended to be a platform for global exchange to help build long-term relationship with the leaders of tomorrow. .

Viktor Öwall, the Dean of  the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University, nominated Rajeshwari Yogi for the Global Swede award:

“Rajeshwari Yogi is one of the best students we have had at the Master’s in Wireless Communications. After her first year in Sweden, she was awarded a Lund University Global Scholarship, outranking all other applicants both with the number of credits she had passed and with her grades.  Rajeshwari has exceptional soft skills and is very engaged in a number of activities. She is doing an excellent job as a Programme Ambassador writing blogposts about student life in Sweden. She has also been a Supplemental Instruction leader, facilitating new students to adapt well to the Swedish academic tradition.”
