Topic: Testing of Autonomous Systems
When: 23 April March 2020 at 13.00-15.00
Where: Online at the Zoom platform.
With the rapid evolution of autonomous systems, techniques and approaches must also be evolved to address the effectiveness and efficiency of testing towards these systems. Testing of autonomous systems, due to its complexity and uncertainty in regards to the operation and their uncontrolled environment, remains an unresolved area.
The primary intention of this workshop, through the means of focus group discussions, is to gain better understanding in regards to the challenges faced by the industrial practitioners, as well as their different approaches to testing autonomous systems. Issues like definition of autonomous systems; problems encountered during testing and good practices will be explored.
13.15 Group discussions
- What is an autonomous system?
- What are the challenges of testing aoutnomous systems?
- What approaches to testing exist?
14.45 Summary of findings

To support competence building on software engineering and technology through the industry-academia ecosystem in southern Sweden, we have initiated a series of quarterly workshops. It is an open network, driven by commitment from industry and academia partners who consider this competence provisioning be important. The workshops include short presentations on recent or ongoing research, master thesis projects and industry experiences, followed by discussions and matchmaking for collaborative actions.
