Meet LTH's Honorary Doctorates 2022

Welcome to a popular science seminar on 2 June to get to know this year's honorary doctorates. You will hear lectures on architecture for affordable housing, universal laws from the macro to the micro level and how chemistry can contribute to climate change mitigation. You will also have a unique opportunity to mingle with both the honorary doctors and staff from across LTH at the breakfast mingle before the lectures!

The seminar will be given in English and Swedish, is free of charge and open to the public. Each honorary doctorate will lecture for about 20 minutes, after which there will be time for questions. No registration is required – feel free to drop in. Please bring your colleagues and come to the breakfast mingle before the lectures, where we will provide coffee, tea and sandwiches!

10:00 – Dana Cuff, Professor of Urban Architecture at UCLA

Presented by Per-Johan Dahl and lecturing on:
"Design, Data, and Law: The Architecture of Affordable Housing"

10:30 – John C. Doyle, Professor of Control and Dynamical Systems, California Institute of Technology

Presented by Anders Rantzer and lecturing on:
"Universal laws and architectures from bacteria to humans and societies"

11:00 – Nils Hannerz, Head of Industrial Policy, IKEM

Presented by Leif Bülow and lecturing on:
"Kemins möjligheter att bidra till klimatomställningen"
