About SCIBLU

Background

In the spring of 2004, Lund University created SCIBLU - Swegene Centre for Integrative Biology at Lund University, which fuses five of the most successful Swegene resource and development platforms into one unit, located in the new Lund Biomedical Centre (BMC) in the C and D-buildings. The purpose was to create a centre offering services within all -omics areas and for developing of tools needed for the new generation of biologists. This multidisciplinary co-operation between diverse centres and researchers breaks down many of the obstacles caused by compartmentalization of research into distinct subjects.
