Virtual Uppåkra

Lund university researcher Nicolò Dell'Unto is documenting the archaeological excavation in Uppåkra using the image-based 3D modeling service Arc3D. This creates unique possibilities for the archaeologists to analyze and interpret the different layers of the excavation!



Digital archaeology

Lund university researcher Nicolò Dell'Unto has used the software MeshLab to visualize an archaeological excavation in full scale in a CAVE system. This pilot project is a collaboration with Cyprus Institute.



Innovative augmented reality interface

Erik Bäckström, Tomas Persson, Babak Razavi and Magnus Wihlborg have developed a new interface concept for mobile AR in the course Advanced interaction design.



New start for Malmö 1692!

Just recently, the project Malmö 1692 has been re-launched. Malmö 1692 is an almost complete 3d model of Malmö the year 1692, created by Boghos Balyan, Percy Hultberg and others. The goal is to create an interactive 3d world in which it is possible to experience and learn about Malmö's history, says the project leader Per-Åke Nilsson. More>>
