Communicating Science

This course is replacing the two former courses Kommunikationsteknik and Spoken Technical Communication and is given in English.

Aim and scope
In this course the participants develop their communicational skills in situations typically encountered by LTH PhD students and university teachers. The course is primarily practical and includes exercises in oral presentation, voice and body language, writing popular science, poster communication and rhetorics.
 
Course format
The course consists of scheduled lectures and exercise sessions, and individual preparation for exercises. For course diploma substantial participation in scheduled sessions and fulfilment of course tasks are required. The course is recommended to correspond to 5 hp credits for LTH PhD students and corresponds to 3 weeks of compulsory higher education teacher training.  
 
Course leaders
Docent/ETP Anders Ahlberg, Anders.Ahlberg@genombrottet.lth.se, Assistant Professor at the LTH Academic Development Unit, Studiecentrum, is the course coordinator and examiner. He involves relevant course leaders from Lund University and other learning organisations.
