LTH welcomes the new international students

On a snowy day, LTH gives a warm welcome to the international students who will start their studies at the Faculty of Engineering this spring semester

LTH held a welcome for new international students on Wednesday 11th January 2017. A total of 175 new exchange students and 17 international master students of the Fire Safety Engineering (IFMSE) program will start their courses at LTH in the coming semester. The new international students come from 32 countries around the world and are joining us here in Lund to further their education and to enjoy all Lund University, Lund, and Malmö area, which is ranked the 4th most innovative region in the world, has to offer.

The countries with the highest number of international students are USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, and China. The intake once again this semester is truly multicultural and diverse.

The Dean, Professor Viktor Öwall, was among the welcoming team that introduced the newly arrived students to LTH and the Campus, wishing every student an exciting learning experience. 

TLTH, the Student Union at LTH, gave the students a warm welcome by inviting them for a low-cost student lunch and organizing social activities and games. TLTH also helped them getting started by assisting them in getting their LU access card, and organized a Campus tour.
