The IKEA Foundation has decided to provide the School of Industrial Design with a five-year grant of around €1.5 million a year, starting in 2018, to help fund education, research and scholarships in industrial design.
The amount is at the same level as the school previously received.
"The IKEA Foundation believes that designers can play an important role in developing creative, environmentally friendly solutions that help families enjoy safe, secure homes and living environments. Lund University’s programme reaches beyond the traditional scope of industrial design to put people first and find ways to make their lives better. That is why we are pleased to support their work through this new grant” , says Per Heggenes, CEO of IKEA Foundation.
