Who will be crowned Swedish Champion of Innovation

No other Swedish innovation award can compare to the SKAPA-prize when it comes to breadth and engagement. There are both regional and national winners, and the competition attracts a large number of participants every year.

Two years ago, LTH alumnus Mehrdad Mahdjoubi won win his space shower.

The aim of the SKAPA-prize is to support innovators, help them bring their inventions and ideas to market and to highlight the importance of innovation in the wider economy. The prize fund totals more than SEK1m.

Applications are due on 10 April 2016 via the foundation's website www.stiftelsenskapa.se

LUCRIS - new research information system

Lund University is soon launching a new research information system - LUCRIS.

LUCRIS will replace LUP (Lund University Publications) as the registration interface for scholarly publications. In addition, LUCRIS will contain other research information, such as information on researchers, research groups, projects or research-related activities within, for example, external engagement.

LUP will close for new entries in March in preparation for the launch of the new system. You'll find this and other important dates, as well as more information about LUCRIS on the university's central staff pages.

Are you on Twitter?

Social media can be a good way of reaching colleagues, students and the wider public. The launch of the app LTH Now (which collates online content about LTH into one news feed) makes it easier to find out what's going on around our campus.

If you're on Twitter, send an email to anders-frick@kansli.lth.se and we will add you to the list of LTH-tweeters.

Got a story for LTH-news?

What's happening in your group or your department? If you have something exciting going on that you want to share with colleagues, students, alumni, politicians and research funders - let us write about it in the faculty magazine LTH-news. Contact the editor anders.frick@kansli.lth.se with your feature ideas!

Finding scholarships

A lot of people have written to AktuelLTH and asked us to include information about their scholarships. Instead of including each individual scholarship in the newsletter, we would like to draw your attention to the university's central information about scholarships as well as the scholarship search service Research Professional. You can also sign up to receive the university's newsletter Research Funding News.
