Tramway - Project information November

Preparations are now underway on LTH's campus for the installation of the tram route between Lund Central Station and Science Village/ESS. This will impact throughfare and access to parking at certain points along Sölvegatan. Find out what's happening and when:

Launch of the LU 350 postage stamp

On 18 November it's time to launch our 350th anniversary postage stamp!

Everyone is welcome to attend the unveiling of a very special postage stamp designed specially for Lund University's 350th anniversary.

The event will be held in the  university building's main hall, and is open to everyone. You will also get a small teaser of what next year's celebrations have in store.

Seminar: Pharmaceutical Drug Development - An Overall Perspective

This free and open seminar will provide an understanding of modern pharmaceutical drug development - the different phases of drug development and insight into different jobs.
 
Speakers

Göran Lidgren has over 30 years´ experience in the field of pharmaceuticals. He has a considerable experience in pre-clinical development of new bioactive compounds, from both academic research and pharmaceutical companies.
 
Anna Rydbeck has over 25 years’ experience gained in the medical/scientific field in the pharmaceutical industry, GE Healthcare and AstraZeneca. She holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry and MSc in Chemical engineering from Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm.

Research school 2017: Imaging of 3D structures

Are you a post doc or PhD student and want to know more about different types of 3D Imaging, image analysis and sample preparation? Malmö University with support from Lund University have arranged a visit by programme officers Dr. Elisabeth Renney and Dr. Inmaculada Aguilera from the European Research Council Executive Agency in Brussels. Theme night at the Tatis Gallery for Art and Science

The Tatis Gallery for Art and Science invite you to attend a theme night around the artist Carin Carlsson's exhibition "Ode to unwanted noses" on 19 December. Come listen to the artist herself talk about the exhibition.

Awards and accolades

Congratulations to Professor Thomas Laurell at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, who has been appointed as a Fellow of the School of Engineering at the University of Tokyo. The ceremony took place in Tokyo on 16 November.
