Dean's blog: Gender equality – not just for show

"LTH is one of the faculties at Lund University that is considered to be single-gendered. This discussion focuses mainly on the number of female professors – a figure that at LTH is around 15 per cent, although the proportions vary greatly within the faculty. Obviously, we are not happy with this number; on the contrary, we will do our best to raise it. We must become more active and reflective in our calls for applications for vacant posts, and improve our recruitment process. However, there is no quick solution to this problem; rather, we must begin our efforts at an earlier stage – with our associate senior lecturers and doctoral students."

Active LU-employee 2016

Gerdahallen invites all Lund University employees to take part in their health promotion project Active LU-employee 2016.

Over the course of five months, between 7 November 2016 and 7 April 2017, you will work on your fitness and health alongside other university employees.

By combining group training activities, interesting lectures, various tests and forms of support we aim to give you the opportunity to become stronger both physically and mentally.

Reminder employee survey

Which LU news stories are you interested in?

SIFO recently sent out a survey to all employees at Lund University to find out which type of internal news stories we want to read about in channels such as LUM - the university's magazine. If you want to voice your opinion, be sure to complete the survey. Check your inbox for an email from "Sifo för Lunds universitet". Most of you received the email on 23 September.

The preliminary results show a shortage of responses from LTH researchers, so your participation is extra valuable!
