Architectural Integration and Design of Solar Systems

You are welcome to the seminar Architectural Integration and Design of Solar Systems held by Maria Cristina Munari Probst, Architect École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Maria Cristina Munari Probst will provide good and bad examples of the integration of solar modules and discuss what it is that makes them more or less aesthetic.

The seminar is in English and is aimed, inter alia, to city planners, architects, researchers and others who are interested in solar power in urban planning. The seminar is organized by the IIIEE at Lund University and is given in the context of Alvar Palm's doctoral dissertation defence on the same day, 8 February, at 13:00 - 15:00, IIIEE Aula, Tegnérsplatsen 4 in Lund. The title of Alvar Palm's doctoral dissertation is: Residential solar photovoltaics deployment: barriers and drivers in space.

International Women's Day: Kvinnor - styrkor, möjligheter och hot

How close are we to fulfilling our national gender equality policy objectives? On International Women's Day will be held a seminar to discuss this important issue.

Career paths outside academia – Employability and entrepreneurship for young researchers

Science for Society is hosting it’s first ever PhD conference. The conference is held in Aalborg, Denmark, and participation is free.

At this conference you will be inspired by a number of innovative entrepreneurs and other researchers who have pursued a career in the industry, the public sector or started up their own business. Take this opportunity to get new insight and inspiration to the PhD labour market.

Since the Science for Society project started in January 2016, we have developed a conference format to create a meetingplace between Swedish, Norwegian and Danish PhDs and postdocs. This years conference will be in Aalborg, and focus on PhDs career development and value creation outside academia. 

Participation in the conference is FREE. PhD and Postdoc participants from Lund University can get financial support to subsidy travel costs in connection with the conference. 10 research and mobility grants for European studies, Carlos V European Award - Sofia Corradi, Mamma Erasmus

The grants are aimed at researchers enrolled on a PhD programme and currently working on a doctoral thesis. The theme of this edition’s grants call is, from a multidisciplinary perspective, “Peace and European values as a potential model for integration and progress in a global world”.
