Lund University's UGL - Team and Leadership Development
UGL is one of Sweden's most popular leadership training programs. The course provides unique knowledge of personal development and leadership. Allowing members of a management and working group to undergo UGL contributes to increased job satisfaction and efficiency.
The autumn courses are:
- Week 43 - 23 October - 27 October. Deadline to register is 8 September
- Week 47 - November 20 - November 24th. Deadline to register will be provided in due course

Life Science infrastructure fair and seminar
For all researchers who want to know more about the excellent life science infrastructure that Lund University has to offer. Learn about how different infrastructures can be important tools in your research. More than 20 infrastructures will present how they can support life science research. The presentations will be based on four different cases: diabetes, immunology, cancer and neuro science.
Lund: 19 September 2017, 14:00-17:00 (For infrastructure representatives there is also a dedicated session between 13:00-14:00). Belfragesalen, BMC D15. Register by 12 September
Malmö: 3 October 14:00-17:00. CRC, aulan. Register by 26 September.
Proposal of a research data policy for Lund University
A proposal has been drafted for a research data policy for Lund University. The draft of the policy has been crafted by a working group for research data appointed by the University Research Board.
We welcome all comments to the current policy draft. Send your comments to Maria Johnsson maria.johnsson@ub.lu.se by 15 October at the latest.
LINXS Kickoff 27-29 September
Lund Institute of advanced Neutron and X-ray Science - LINXS - will be an advanced topical research institute in Science Village Scandinavia. It hosts international fellows and promotes collaboration with local fellows to foster cutting edge-research with the aid of synchrotrons and neutron sources.
This will be a lunch-to-lunch event (27th - 29th) including a conference dinner on the 28th. It is free of charge to people employed at Lund University, MAX IV, ESS, and any stakeholders in developments in Science Village Scandinavia.
SoPact is open for applications for this autumn’s free 3-month accelerator program
SoPact is a startup accelerator for social ventures – entrepreneurs working to solve social, cultural or environmental needs in society. The aim of the 3-month acceleration program is to make sure your venture has a much better chance of succeeding.
SoPact holds two information meetings in September:

The Pufendorf IAS: Call for proposals 2018 - 2019
The Pufendorf IAS invites researchers to apply for a “theme” to start in the autumn of 2018. Provided that sufficient funding is granted, the aim of the Institute is to approve three themes for the 2018–2019 period.

Open House in Vattenhallen – Theme: The Brain
Vattenhallen holds an open house, with free entrance, and offers a Brain Show and challenging experiments. Researchers from the Department of Biology will be there to show and tell about the animals and the world. Hear, see and feel how animals use their brains and minds to work in their environment.
In the science centre's planetarium, there will be discussions about the difference between humans and machines in relation to the exploration of our solar system.
