LU card replaces library card

All library cards are being replaced this autumn. Staff members and students will use their LU card when loaning materials from the library. Everybody else will be issued a new library card.


Course in Open Networked Learning

This course addresses teachers, course designers, educational developers and learning technologists in higher education. It presents opportunities to explore a multitude of aspects of Open Networked Learning with colleagues from around the world in a multidisciplinary and cross-cultural context.

The course is given in two different formats; as an open course freely available on the internet and as an institutional course starting 20 September and ending 16 December 2016.

Universitas 21 Three Minutes Thesis

Competition for PhD students!

An 80 000 word thesis would take 9 hours to present. Your time limit...3 minutes.

This is an excellent opportunity to practice sharing your research findings with others and to have the chance to compete internationally and win a stipend.

Annual meeting MAX4ESSFUN 2016

Welcome to the first Annual Meeting of MAX4ESSFUN, to be held at Elite Hotel Ideon, Lund  6-7 October 2016 (lunch-to-lunch). Directly after the meeting there will be an option to participate in a study tour at the premises of ESS and MAX IV.

Do you sing or play an instrument?

"Sångmaskinen" (The Song Machine) is looking for new members!

If you play an instrument or sing, we would love for you to join our group! No prior experience necessary - just the desire to make music. Rehearsals take place every Monday at 12:10 - 13:00 in the M-building (usually in room M:E).

Mattias Richter has been promoted to Professor of combustion physics, focusing on applied optical diagnistics.
Congratulations Mattias!

Jenny Larfeldt has been hired as an Adjuct Professor of combustion physics, starting 1 September. Jenny's main position is with Siemens as a Senior Combusion Expert. She was one of the founders of the Female Network in Combustion and is an active member in the internal network Women in Combustion.
