LTH Strategic Plan - join the discussion

The faculty is in the process of formulating a new strategic plan. The project team would like to invite all interested parties to a discussion about what the process is going to look like. The first meeting will take place on 18 April at 15:15 in room E:A. There will be a presentation of our ideas and we will ask for your input and feedback.

Please note - the presentation will be in Swedish.

The presentation will also be circulated digitally so that as many people as possible get a chance to comment.

Add your mobile number to LUCAT

The university's security officer recommends that all staff members ensure their work and/or private mobile phone number is added to LUCAT in order to quickly receive information in a crisis situation. Your private details will not be visible on the web if someone looks up your contact information.

How to update your details in LUCAT:

  • Log in on lucat.lu.se and click on "Personlig information" in the left-hand menu. Scroll down and click on "Ändra".  In the pop-up window, under the heading "Privata kontaktuppgifter", enter your mobile number in the box labelled "Mobilnummer" and click on "Spara" to save.
  • The phone number should be written in the following format: +467xxxxxxxxx (+46 for Sweden, and your number without the first 0).
  • You should also add your work mobile if you have one. Do this on your LUCAT home screen, by clicking on "Ändra" under the heading "Verksamhetsroller".

Social media can be a good way of reaching colleagues, students and the wider public. The launch of the app LTH Now (which collates online content about LTH into one news feed) makes it easier to find out what's going on around our campus.

If you're on Twitter, send an email to anders-frick@kansli.lth.se and we will add you to the list of LTH-tweeters.

Lunch-time workout on Campus

The outdoor gym on LTH's campus, situated in the park between the Union Building and IKDC, was officially opened yesterday. The gym comprises six different machines that all come with instructions of how to use them. The crosstrainer also has a USB port you can use to charge your mobile.
