LTH revived an old tradition on 22 November, when a party was held for its 150 international Master’s students. Several of the guests, including LTH’s Vice Dean Per Warfvinge and the Head of the International Department Christina Grossman, had dressed in traditional folk costumes for the occasion.
The party was organized jointly by the Faculty Office and the Student Union. A few students had also brought some Pakistani and Chinese specialities to add to the buffet table. The entertainment was provided by Professor Sven Mattisson, the creator of Bluetooth, and Stephen Myers from Malmö University, whose musings on the quirky peculiarities of Swedish culture and behaviour elicited plenty of laughter among the guests.
The festivities wrapped up once the attendees had had a chance to mingle and pose for some pictures. The event was a great success and is sure to be repeated.
