Video in education and research communication
Video in education and research communication is an elective course within the qualifying educational higher education program at LTH. The course is aimed at teachers who want to develop their knowledge of how video can be used to promote student learning as well as to communicate research to different audiences. The main purpose of the course is that the participants, based on an educational problem in their own teaching and / or scientific activities, should discuss, plan and develop video material that addresses a current, relevant problem or challenge. The planning and development of this material is carried out in the form of a project work. During the course, participants will also have the opportunity to orientate themselves in current research in the field, as well as the opportunity to discuss their project with colleagues.
The course consists of a number of scheduled meetings as well as a project work that is carried out individually or in pairs. The scheduled meetings are divided into an initial start-up meeting, four intermediate course meetings, and a final collection with presentation of the project work. Before the intermediate meetings, participants are expected to read selected scientific articles. The course is given in Swedish or English depending on the wishes of the participants.
Admission to the course normally requires a degree at the undergraduate level. In addition, a higher education pedagogical introductory course or equivalent is required. Priority is given to teaching staff at LTH. Other teachers are welcome to if possible.
The course corresponds to 3 weeks of work (3 weeks BHU). Of these, the project should cover about 2 weeks. To pass the course, attendance at the start-up meeting is required, at least two intermediate course meetings, as well as the final presentation of the projects.
The course is mainly taught in English on demand.
