The course is designed for postdoctoral researchers intending to apply for the Docent degree (associate professor) related to one of the research disciplines at LTH. It revolves around themes typically central to LTH docents, i.e., PhD supervision and education, academic conduct, research quality, research group development, PhD assessment, and docent application assessment/procedures. The doctoral education and supervision segment of the course is in compliance with Lund University requirements for PhD supervisor training.
We recommend the course for postdocs who defended their PhD approximately two years ago, in good time before applying for the docent degree. Applicants affiliated with LTH are welcome. Applicants who are approaching their LTH Docent application are prioritized.

To pass the course, a considerable degree of class presence and activity is required, along with the accomplishment of all course tasks.
