Introductory Workshop for Newly Admitted PhD Students at LTH
To support a smooth start of your research studies, we have gathered a range of information and activities we hope you will find useful in a new three-meeting workshop, corresponding to 2 credits for all who participate and fulfil course requirements and preparations between meetings. This PhD study introduction will be available twice per year, each semester. The workshop calls for some student-supervisor interaction between meetings.
For corona safety the introductory workshop for all new PhD students at LTH is provided via Zoom and Canvas this autumn, in November (we normally do this in a crowded room with lots of physical interaction). For a Pass on the course, the participant must have attended all of the scheduled activities and completed and passed all assignments in the course.
The course is held in English.
To be admitted to the course applicants have to be newly (within one year) admitted to a PhD programme at LTH.
The course corresponds to about 1 week of full-time work and to 2 credits in third-cycle (PhD) studies (with Pass and Fail as available grades), if this is in line with the individual study plan.
