Course registration

At the beginning of each study period, students at LTH must register for their courses. This means that you inform the department offering the course that you intend to start the course you have previously applied for.

The registration is necessary for the department to report grades, for you to access various learning platforms and continue to have a LU account (WiFi, library services etc).

Course registration usually opens one week before the courses start and it stays open for four weeks. An email reminder is always sent when the registration opens.

If you are going to re-take courses, you cannot re-register by yourself. Please contact the administrator at the department that offers the course. There is no need to re-register for a course if you only intend to take a re-exam.

If you are a fee-paying student, please be aware that it will take some days for your payment to show in the Ladok system even if your payment status in the portal has been updated. If you pay your tuition fee late, then you might have to wait a few days before you can register. 

When you apply for a course, it is stated if the course has any pre-requisite requirements or a maximum number of seats. If you do not meet the requirements or if you are not included in the group who are selected to attend the course (in case of more applicants than seats), you will not be able to register. Unfortunately, you will not receive an error message until you attempt to register. If you think that you meet the pre-requisite requirements but still are unable to register, please contact the administrator at the department offering the course.

Students do not register themselves for the degree project course, this is done according to the instructions on this web page.
