Application

You apply for the programme in www.universityadmissions.se. All the documents (except for the portfolio if you are going to apply for the Master programme in Sustainable Urban Design) have to be sent to the address you will find via the web site www.universityadmissions.se. 

Application status?

Your application will be marked 'under examination' until examination is completed.

Changes?

You can alter your application until the last day for applications.

What documents are required when applying for the Master's Programme in: Biotechnology, Food Technology and Nutrition, Nanoscience, Photonics, System-on-Chip, Water Resources and Wireless Communications?

1. Degree Certificate
2. Transcript of records
3. A copy of your passport or some other document of identification
4. Proof of your English proficiency

Applicants who do not hold the required degree are eligible provided that they can prove that they are registered for the last semester of a programme leading to such a degree. An official document stating that they are likely to be awarded the degree before the start of the master programme must be submitted. The degree certificate has to be presented before start of the programme.

Academic or General IELTS Test?

Academic IELTS test is required

Language of instruction

English is the language of instruction in the master's programmes.

Length of the programme?

All the Master's programmes at Faculty of Engineering LTH are 2 years.

Am I eligible for a scholarship?

Scholarships are offered by SI for applicants for the Master's Programmes. The competition for the scholarships is quite hard.

Student union

You can choose if you want to be a member of the student union at a cost of approximately SEK 500 per term. However if you choose not be a member it will not be possible to get housing via the University.

TOEFL test score in original or copy?

The TOEFL test score has to be sent directly from the test center. The code is 9520.

Tuition fee?

Lund University will start charging tuition fees for non-European students starting the program in the autumn of 2011.

Visa

You are required to provide proof that you are able to meet your own living expenses (7300 SEK per month) for the whole study period in Sweden when applying for a student visa.
