Our application period is from March 15 to April 25 for the autumn semester 2012 and for the full academic year 2012/2013
How to submit your application
The International Office at your home university has information about our online application procedure.
Only nominated students can apply for exchange studies at LTH.
The Study Plan
Exchange students must follow a full time study plan of 30 credits in one semester.
Each semester is divided into two study periods. Some courses are given over the whole semester. Most courses at LTH are only offered once a year.
In Sweden academic achievement is measured according to a credit system where one semester of successful full-time studies corresponds 30 university credits. Students have to be admitted to full time studies before they can be accepted for exchange studies by the Faculty of Engineering LTH.
Academic requirements
Exchange students must observe the prerequisites when selecting courses and verify that they fulfill the requirements with supporting documentation (official transcript of records, information about ongoing course and preferably course descriptions).
English language requirements
Exchange students must have a high proficiency of English in order to succeed with their academic studies at Lund University - a level equivalent to the requirements for International Master students in Sweden is recommendable.
Please note that we do not require any official documentation such as a TOEFL or IELTS test result for incoming exchange students. The opposite applies for double degree students.
