The Swedish Higher Education Authority has released its evaluation of Sweden’s technology and engineering programmes. The Faculty of Engineering here in Lund had 21 programmes included in the evaluation. 13 were given a score of ‘high quality’, 3 were given a score of very high quality, and five were given a score of ‘inadequate quality’.
“The overall results from the evaluation show that the Faculty of Engineering’s programmes uphold a good standard. But there are a small number of programmes that have failed to meet a few specific goals, which has led to those programmes being awarded a score of ‘inadequate quality’. We are taking these criticisms on board, and we will be analysing the results of the evaluation. We can then consider which improvements we need to make.” says the Faculty’s Dean, Anders Axelsson.
