Increasing shares of research within the Energy field are performed under large research programmes and collaborations between LU/LTH along with between LU/LTH and other universities. Those collaborations can take place under the frames for competence centres, excellence centres, programmes and different networks. A strength at LU/LTH is the short distance between different faculties, departments and research groups. Basic research subjects as mathematics, micro biology, physics and automatic control engineering have an important role also too applied research programmes. A great share of the research and the new knowledge are constructed in the interfaces between traditional disciplines and faculty borders in multidisciplinary programmes.
You find examples of larger collaborations to the left in the menu.
Besides this type of internal and Swedish collaborations different departments take part in a line of international contexts within the framework of EU-projects, International Energy Agency, international networks etc. Information on this kind of collaborations and single research project you will find at the contributory departments home pages.
