Lund University and the Faculty of engineering have a close collaboration with the economic and industrial world within several areas, including the energy area. Amongst our partners are big energy companies such as EON and Vattenfall but also several local energy companies and different trade organizations. We have a close co-operation with a large number of companies within the vehicle industry when it comes to future combustion engines and electricity driven- and hybrid vehicles. The construction sector is also an important arena for collaboration with the private sector. Within the fields of bioenergy and biofuels there are collaborations with companies within most of the district industries, equipment manufacturers, biotechnology companies etc. In larger research programmes and competence centres companies and other representatives for the public or private sector almost always participate as active parts.
We have long experience of collaboration with the commercial and industrial sector and with that a well worked out infrastructure to handle commissioned research, contractual issues, intellectual property law and other questions that may arise.
In different ways we also collaborate with a large number of public agencies and administrations at different levels (international, national and local) to develop and spread new knowledge.
